starting year two
b and i didn't watch the opening of the olympic games this past friday. we had another more important engagement, we were out in the city celebrating our first wedding anniversary. =)
a year ago on aug 8, we had an intimate, vintage hawaiian wedding. i will never forget that day, it was a dream come true as we married and celebrated at sugarhouse, a beautiful sugar plantation estate that embodies "old" hawaii. every detail was perfect but most importantly, we got married with our family and close friends by our side. here is a small collage that captured our special day:
after months of work craziness for the both of us, we had taken friday off to relax and to spend the day together. we ended up doing normal, everyday things --- running errands, cleaning house and taking the dogs to the dark park. while it wasn't anything fancy, we were happy since we were enjoying each other's company rather than attending work meetings or feverishly getting things done for our companies. late in the afternoon we headed into the city to explore union square and to have a lovely, special, and equally memorable dinner at gary danko.
i'm looking forward to more shared memories with b. i'm thankful to the Lord for bringing us together. b is a wonderful blessing -- he's my best friend and life partner. what more could i ask for? :)
