april fools joke???

so our dog walker left another note that made us go "hmmm." actually i was pretty stoked when i read it but b was way more skeptical and wondered if shasta was playing an april fools day joke on us. read on:

• my day out was: exuberant, playful, social, silly, happy, energetic
• my poops were: solid
• on a scale of 1 to 10, my energy level was: 9
• notes: marley and ginger had a wonderful run. they were perfect with their "come" commands, very proud of them.

b didn't doubt marley -- we both know he's great with the come calls and rarely blows off our calls. we recall there being only one incident and that can be excused -- marley got himself lost. but ginger is another story, she requires multiple "come" calls since she tends to wander way off or gets so excited that she doesn't listen. we know we're to blame given that we don't keep her closer to us or call often enough. what really worries us is when she gets so excited and worked up that she doesn't respond to any of our calls(especially when she sees other dogs and wants to play). this happens more often than we'd like, and we have more trail "war" stories than we care to admit that deal with ginger and the new dog she met on the trail.

i'm still hoping that our trainer is helping ginger learn to settle down and respond to commands.
